About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at a Serviced Apartment Building in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that operating procedures and standards are met, while exceeding guest expectations. This is a key leadership role that requires high levels of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and guidance to the housekeeping team
- Daily handovers and briefings with housekeeping team
- Ensure hotel public areas are maintained and look impeccable
- Daily maintenance reporting and following up
- Staff rostering and leave planning
- Plans; prepares and executes on-going training initiatives for the housekeeping team
- Monitor and control inventories for operating equipment, linen, stationary, guest supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms to ensure par stocks are maintained and costs are controlled
Requirements
- Matric or Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Housekeeping Management
- Proficiency with general office PC applications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility required
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of rooms management systems
- Advanced knowledge of housekeeping process and procedures
