About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Indian Speciality Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef and deliver exceptional cuisine to guests in a luxury hotel setting. Proven experience in managing high-end kitchens, with a strong focus on Indian cuisine, is essential for this role. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily kitchen operations and menu planning
- Prepare high-quality Indian cuisine to hotel standards
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Maintain strict kitchen hygiene, health & safety standards
- Manage inventory, stock levels, and ingredient ordering
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation
- Collaborate on new dishes, specials, and events
- Support banquets, events, and special functions
Requirements
- Proven Sous Chef experience, preferably in Indian cuisine
- Strong culinary skills and creativity
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Flexibility for weekends, nights, and public holidays
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field (if applicable)
