About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Parts Manager to lead a high-performing parts department within a dynamic commercial vehicle dealership based in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring efficient parts supply to the workshop to support productivity, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the parts department.
  • Ensure efficient parts supply to the workshop to support productivity.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels through effective ordering and stock control.
  • Monitor and control parts sales, margins, and departmental profitability.
  • Manage and control back orders, ensuring timely follow-ups and customer feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Lead, train, and develop the parts team to achieve performance targets.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing, pricing, and documentation of all parts transactions.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Implement and maintain departmental processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, health and safety regulations.
  • Analyse sales reports and identify opportunities to grow parts revenue.
  • Collaborate with workshop and service departments to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery.

Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 35 years experience in a Parts Manager or senior parts role within a dealership.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Proven experience in managing a team and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience with dealership systems (e.g. Kerridge, Automate, Evolve, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Code 8 drivers licence.

Salary & Benefits
