About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Assistant Internal Auditor to join their team on a fixed-term contract in Cape Town. The successful candidate will support the Internal Audit function by performing follow-up and assurance audits in line with global standards, ensuring continuous improvement in governance, risk management, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct follow-up audits and verify management action plans.
- Monitor and update progress of management actions using TeamMate.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
- Analyse data using Excel, Pivot Tables, and PowerBi, and present insights.
- Assist with planning and execution of assurance audits.
Requirements
- BCom / BTech in Internal Auditing, Accounting, or related field.
- 3+ years relevant internal audit experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel and Word skills; PowerBi advantageous.
- Knowledge of Internal Audit Standards, COSO, COBIT, and King IV.
- Professional certifications (IAT, CIA, CISA, ACCA, CA(SA)) advantageous.
