About the Role
Hire Resolve, a leading retail company in Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving sales and strategy for the retailer of the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales & strategy
- Maximize category margin and stock efficiencies
- Analyze data to support business strategy while challenging the status quo
- Develop effective assortment planning with a strong trader instinct
- Engage with channel owners to drive sales velocity
- Execute strategy and deliver against key financial and service level metrics
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification/degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years of Merchandise Planning experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders with confidence
- Confidence in analytical skills to make high-impact decisions regarding your category
- Strong organization, planning, and time management skills
- Proficient capabilities in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Demonstrated experience working with production, trends, and buying teams to achieve strategy vision
