About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the procurement process for electronic components and materials, ensuring cost reduction, improved lead times, and compliance with quality and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement process for electronic components and materials from local and international suppliers
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve lead times
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms
- Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality and delivery requirements
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate forecasting to avoid material shortages
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to identify sourcing opportunities and optimize design for supply chain efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and identify opportunities to implement new technologies and processes to improve procurement performance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist in the Electronics Manufacturing industry
- Knowledge of procurement processes and sourcing strategies
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be situated in the Western Cape
