Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our client’s team as a SAICA Article Clerk. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior accountants and managers to gain practical experience in the field of accounting while completing their SAICA training requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Conducting audits and reviews of clients’ financial records
Performing tax calculations and compliance work
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
Providing support to clients on accounting and financial matters
Participating in team meetings and training sessions
Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation for SAICA registration and training
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Working towards or completed CTA qualification
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in an accounting or financial services environment
Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks
Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently
Enthusiasm for pursuing a career in accounting and obtaining a professional qualification
