About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving electrical systems and components for a range of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems, circuits, and control panels for industrial or commercial applications
- Prepare schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Perform load calculations, system sizing, and component selection
- Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and regulations
- Collaborate with mechanical, project, and production teams
- Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
- Conduct design reviews and implement improvements
- Liaise with suppliers and clients on technical specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3–7 years’ experience in electrical design (industry dependent)
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN Electric P8
- Knowledge of electrical standards (IEC, SANS, etc.)
- Experience with PLCs, control systems, or power distribution (advantageous)
