Position: English Teacher (Grades 79)

Location: On-site (specific days per week)
Role Overview
We are seeking an English teacher to work with our Cambridge International lower secondary students (Grades 79). The role involves both teaching and administrative responsibilities, with a balanced timetable spread across four days per week. Where possible, teaching hours will be scheduled consecutively.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach 15 hours of English lessons per week to Grades 79, aligned with the Cambridge International curriculum.
- Fulfil 5 hours of administrative responsibilities (e.g., assessment preparation, marking, reporting, student support, curriculum planning).
- Prepare engaging and well-structured lessons that develop students skills in reading, writing, speaking, and critical analysis.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessment and provide constructive feedback.
- Support the schools academic programme and participate in meetings, parent communication, and professional development.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, respectful classroom and school environment.
Requirements
- A Bachelors degree in English, Education, or a related field (essential).
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
- Previous experience teaching English at secondary school level; Cambridge International curriculum experience is an advantage.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to prepare students for Cambridge assessments.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong organisational skills to balance teaching and administrative duties.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with students, parents and guardians.
- Commitment to professional growth and ongoing learning.
