Job Description
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to ensure the long-term financial stability of the organization
– Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
– Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management
– Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
– Manage the internal control systems and recommend improvements to enhance financial performance
– Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial operations and achieve strategic objectives
– Monitor financial performance and identify trends and opportunities for growth
– Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals
– Play a key role in strategic planning and decision-making processes
– Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to inform financial strategies and initiatives
Requirements:
– Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g. CA, CTA, Hons) preferred
– 5+ years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the insurance industry
– Strong knowledge of insurance financial reporting and regulatory requirements
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
– Proficiency in financial systems and software, including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management
– Strong leadership and management capabilities
– Willingness to travel as required
