Centurion: Fleet Controller

About the Role

The Centurion: Fleet Controller is a critical role that oversees all aspects of Cleint’s fleet, including SR FML Fleet, ensuring compliance with Road Traffic Regulations and DQSP requirements at all times. This position requires strong leadership and coordination skills to manage maintenance and repair services, as well as daily vehicle check sheets and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and ensure routine repairs and maintenance of Digistics own vehicles within their maintenance agreements and service schedules.
  • Manage all vehicle handovers and completion of vehicle check sheets on delivery and collection of vehicles.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic third-party supplier relationships and service level agreements.
  • Inspect and sign off all accident and breakdown repairs for quality assurance.
  • Obtain and maintain truck licensing and registrations.
  • Monitor fleet budget, assist with fleet program expenditure, and record expenditure in the correct period.
  • Manage assets to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections as per the preventive maintenance schedule and safety standards.
  • Ensure receipt of a vehicle accident report for all vehicles and maintain records of repairs done.
  • Manage vehicle availability/scheduling to fulfill delivery requirements.

Requirements

  • 5 Years: Proven Fleet Management Experience
  • Experience in Driving Code 14 Trucks and Trailers
  • Minimum Required Grade 12
  • Applicable tertiary qualification will be advantageous
  • Valid Code 14 EC Driving License and Public Drivers Permit
  • Must pass VTS Dover, Medicals, and Driver screening checks

Qualifications

  • Good technical knowledge with training and/or experience in below fields:
  • MAN Trucks
  • Greco/Carrier Refrigeration Systems
  • Hollandia/Sky-Jacks Tail-lift Systems
  • C-Track Systems
  • Vehicle Tire Management
  • Driver Training
  • Complete and up-to-date knowledge of road traffic laws and regulations
