About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Controller to join our team, responsible for managing the end-to-end export logistics process and ensuring operational excellence across our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end export logistics process, including order processing, vessel bookings, shipment tracking, and coordination with freight forwarders and shipping lines.
- Ensure accurate preparation and management of export documentation such as bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, and compliance with customs and export regulations.
- Coordinate local transport and distribution activities, including stock transfers, dispatch planning, transporter performance monitoring, and invoice verification.
- Maintain accurate logistics transactions and financial controls within SAP, including purchase orders, GRVs, service entries, and freight cost management.
- Monitor shipment performance, including OTIF delivery, freight cost tracking, and the preparation of operational reports to support planning and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of SAP logistics processes (essential)
- Solid understanding of export logistics, shipping lines, port operations, and road transport
- Strong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in SAP Cost accounting
- Commodity export and import experience (5 years’)
