Manager: Grower Programmes
Location: Centurion, Gauteng

A leading development finance institution within the agricultural sector is seeking a Manager: Grower Programmes to drive the development and implementation of farmer support initiatives aimed at strengthening agricultural value chains and improving the sustainability of emerging and developing farmers.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement grower programmes that support the growth and sustainability of farmers across selected agricultural commodities.

Establish and manage relationships with off-takers, aggregators, and key stakeholders within the agricultural ecosystem.

Facilitate farmer development initiatives that improve market access and operational sustainability.

Support the implementation of pre- and post-investment farmer support programmes for funded agricultural clients.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop integrated farmer development strategies.

Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships with government departments, development finance institutions, and agricultural organisations.
Minimum Requirements

Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Commerce, or a related field.

Minimum 7 years experience in agriculture, specifically in agronomy, grower support, or farmer development programmes.

At least 3 years experience at management level.

Strong understanding of agricultural operations, value chains, and farmer development initiatives.

Proven experience in stakeholder engagement within the agricultural ecosystem.
