The Role: Mechanical Engineer (Fire Engineering Essential) You will take responsibility for end-to-end mechanical building-services engineering, including: Fire Engineering (Mandatory Core Function) Fire Protection, Detection & Suppression system design Assisting with Rational Fire Design reports System selection, calculations and compliance with standards ❄ Mechanical Building Services HVAC design (concept through detailed design) Heat load calculations, equipment selection and system proposals Ducting design, reticulation layouts and relevant standards compliance Wet Services Hydraulic calculations Water reticulation system design Consulting & Project Delivery Client needs analysis and site surveys Status-quo reporting and maintenance assessments Engineering reports for all project phases Tender documentation, BOQs, specifications and budgets Coordination with other engineering disciplines Construction monitoring and site inspections Managing project timelines and deliverables Direct client interaction and technical advisory What You Need to Succeed Essential Requirements: BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering 15 years experience in a built-environment consulting role Fire Engineering experience is essential (not optional) Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit Valid drivers licence Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with clients and professional teams What My Client Offers ✨ A multi-disciplinary environment that accelerates technical and professional growth ✨ Exposure to varied and complex projects ✨ Supportive leadership and strong internal engineering competence ✨ Access to advanced tools, systems and cloud-based project workflows ✨ Market-related salary and long-term stability Location & Start Date Centurion Start date: To be confirmed Salary: Market Related
