About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior IT Technician to serve as the technical backbone of their team, providing expert guidance and support to over 100 clients. As a hands-on professional, you will work closely with enterprise infrastructure, mentor junior techs, and contribute to shaping the company’s service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical charge
- Be the go-to expert for complex escalations across networking, security, and Microsoft environments
- Design and implement solutions for clients ranging from SMBs to enterprises
- Drive automation initiatives to make their team more efficient
- Keep the company’s infrastructure rock-solid
- Manage FortiGate firewalls, MikroTik routers, and BGP configurations
- Administer Hyper-V clusters and Microsoft server environments
- Oversee M365 tenants’ migrations, configurations, and ongoing optimisation
- Build the team
- Mentor junior technicians and help them level up
- Create documentation that actually gets used
- Contribute to the company’s internal knowledge base and best practices
- Work with clients
- Understand their business challenges and translate them into technical solutions
Requirements
- 10 years in IT with deep experience across multiple domains
- Expert-level knowledge of FortiGate security appliances
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure administration skills
- Solid networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs)
- Hyper-V and Windows Server administration experience
- Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell is a must)

- A valid driver’s licence and own transport
