About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and professional Head Guide for a luxury lodge based in Ceres, Western Cape. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate wildlife professional to lead the ranger team, oversee safari operations, and deliver world-class guest experiences within a luxury lodge environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all ranger operations while ensuring guest safety and exceptional safari experiences
- Supervise, mentor, and train ranger staff
- Conduct guided game drives, bush walks, and wildlife activities
- Ensure adherence to conservation practices and safety regulations
- Coordinate with lodge management to optimise operations and guest satisfaction
- Maintain vehicles, equipment, and operational resources
- Handle guest enquiries and feedback professionally
- Support conservation initiatives and strategic wildlife programmes
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Head Ranger or Senior Ranger within a luxury lodge or safari environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of local flora, fauna, and conservation practices
- Professional, guest-focused, and proactive approach
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Comfortable living and working in a remote lodge environment
