About the Role
We are seeking an External Sales Consultant to join our team in Durban, who will be responsible for driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer service to our clients. As a successful sales professional with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, you will have a strong understanding of processes and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle objections effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, architects, builders, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand and support project requirements
- Stay informed on the latest product innovations, industry trends, and market developments to provide expert advice to clients
- Respond promptly to inbound leads by setting up meetings and identifying customer needs
- Proactively engage with existing clients while sourcing and securing new business opportunities
- Handle incoming product and service queries with professionalism and product knowledge
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information and activities in the CRM system on a daily basis
- Grow the client base by generating leads, developing new business, and expanding existing accounts and networks
- Prepare quotes and proposals accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring they align with client requirements
- Conduct thorough after-sales follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for repeat business
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable own transport
- Strong administrative skills
- Demonstrated success in a sales role with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent communication skills—both written and interpersonal
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary plus commission and company fuel.
