About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Officer to join our team in Durban. As an HR Officer, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring IR processes, coordinating employee events, and providing support to managers for performance improvement and team development. Your role will involve working closely with various departments to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor IR processes
- Coordinate employee events, including celebrations and CSI initiatives
- Provide induction and onboarding support to new staff members
- Manage probation and performance review processes with line management
- Lead toolbox talks and info sessions with departments
- Offer coaching and support to managers for performance improvement and team development
- Complete weekly and monthly HR/EE/Disciplinary reports
- Coordinate all relevant employee events
Requirements
- An HR or Psychology Degree (Honours is advantageous)
- Excellent Excel and Word skills (intermediate to advanced level)
- 2+ years of HR Officer/HRBP experience, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Own transport and flexibility for travel to other plants off-site when needed
- Ability to handle pressure calmly and professionally
- Excellent English communication skills
- Extremely organised and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Resilient and able to assert themselves when needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Psychology (Honours degree an advantage)
