Job Description
An opportunity has become available for an HR Officer in the PKF Umhlanga Office
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide support for all the Human Resource Functions.
REQUIREMENTS
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes including development of job descriptions, job advertisement (internal & external), interviews, and candidate selection
- Facilitate smooth onboarding and orientation for new hires
Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns
- Promote a positive and inclusive work environment
- Handle conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures professionally
Performance Management
- Support managers in conducting performance appraisals
- Monitor employee development and training needs
- Responsible for administration and co-ordination of annual Performance Appraisal process
HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases
- Prepare HR reports and documentation as needed
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal policies
- Provide support for Assurance Quality Management System on Monthly basis
Payroll
- Provide monthly payroll inputs collation to payroll manager.
- Leave management
Policy Development
- Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures
- Ensure staff adherence to company policies and ethical standards
JOB SKILLS
- Strong knowledge of labour laws (Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act), and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (Sage 300 & ESS), and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong Administrative Skills / Attention to detail
EXPERIENCE
- 5-10 years of HR experience, preferably in a professional services or accounting firm
EDUCATION
- Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
AA/EE advantageous
