About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale databases using T-SQL. You will also be involved in server maintenance, security monitoring, and data warehousing using the Kimble methodology.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage projects related to database administration and development
• Develop and maintain large databases using T-SQL
• Participate in server maintenance, including backups and security monitoring
• Create SSIS, SSRS, and Data Warehousing solutions using the Kimble methodology
• Design and develop SSAS cubes in SQL Server, including Tabular Models
• Work with large data sets and perform data analysis and reporting
• Utilize MDX, PowerShell, and tracing of stored procedures for enhanced performance
Requirements
• 3 years solid experience with T-SQL, database admin, including server maintenance, security monitoring.
• Excellent knowledge in SSIS, SSRS, and Data Warehousing using the Kimble methodology
• Proven experiences of large data sets
• Strong Knowledge of SQL Server
• Excellent knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
• Azure experience advantageous but not essential
