About the Role
The Plant Manager position is a critical role that oversees the day-to-day operations of our automotive manufacturing plant in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the plant, meeting customer requirements, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for operations planning
- Manage plant budgets
- Ensure customer requirements and quality standards are met
- Ensure health, safety, security and plant maintenance regulations are met
- Manage and supervise Department Managers
- Set and ensure that operational targets are met
- Manage overall resources of the business including people
Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years experience in a management position
- Minimum 5 years management in the automotive industry
- Knowledge and Skills required: Leadership, Problem solving and decision making, Communication, Manufacturing processes, Understanding of quality systems, Business acumen, Relationship management with Original Equipment Manufacturers
