Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Run the picking plan schedule 24 hours before the pick.
- Responsible for the picking process.
- Monitoring picking performance.
- Ensure that sufficient human resources and equipment are available.
- Ensure that all processes area finished off at the end of the shift.
- Ensure that all receiving staff is trained on DQSP.
- Ensure that all products received meets customer defined quality standards.
- Ensure that only the physical quantity received and captured on the system.
- 100% compliance with company receiving and WMS processes.
- Ensuring that the non-conforming product process is always followed.
- Plan the number of staff and resources.
- Responsible for the loading process.
- Conduct a post loading check and inspection.
- Conduct checks and prepare for dispatch procedures.
- Verify the load trolley.
- Prepare for the pick shift.
- Run the picking plan schedule 24 hours before the pick Implement pick plan and ensure resources adheres to plan.
- Warehouse layout and stock location plan needs to be updated and communicated to the pickers.
- To be an active role player and carry knowledge on food safety culture.
- To be conscious of general Health and safety protocol as per the company policy and procedure.
- To be conscious of the Facility general Health and safety representatives in case of an emergency
- Verify pick slot totals Ensure that pick slots are replenished prior to the count.
- Ensure that the briefing session with the pickers takes place before every shift starts.
- Planning Activities are planned Activities are resourced according to plan.
- Plans are reviewed regularly.
- Growth is accounted for in plans Warehouse is organized and well laid out
Requirements:
- Grade 12 Matric with higher grade Mathematics
- Tertiary Diploma required or degree advantageous.
- 5 7 years experience in Warehousing required.
- 3-5 years Supervisory experience in Logistics within a Warehousing QSR, FMCG industry.
- Intermediate MS office Skills: MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Systems experience in WMS and accounting system knowledge
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Ability to take responsibility.
