About the Role
The Millwright position at Bilnor Staffing Solutions requires a skilled and experienced individual to join our team in Port Alfred. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot systems by utilizing knowledge of how the system was designed to perform
- Operate and maintain plant equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance activities, including safe use of tools and hand tools
- Maintain pertinent records and communicate effectively with colleagues and contractors
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contracted in the course of work
Requirements
- Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, solvents, toxic materials, hazardous chemicals within allowable exposure limits as defined by Department of Labour
- Ability to work in a water treatment plant environment
- Physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting, standing and walking for prolonged periods of time, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and operating motorized equipment
- Good hand-eye-co-ordination and visual acuity to operate equipment and read computer screens and printed documents
- Ability to hear within the normal audio range with or without correction
- Own vehicle or reliable method of transport
- Willingness to travel and have own accommodation within the region
