About the Role

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new sales opportunities and building long-lasting relationships with existing clients. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing your skills and knowledge to contribute to the company’s overall revenue and commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Identifying and contacting new prospects through methods like cold calling, referrals, and networking to generate sales leads
  • Product/Service Knowledge: Gaining thorough knowledge of the company’s offerings to effectively educate customers on features, benefits, and how they solve problems
  • Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers to understand their needs and preferences, providing information, and answering questions about products and services
  • Demonstrations & Presentations: Delivering product demonstrations and sales presentations to potential clients to showcase value and suitability
  • Negotiation & Closing: Negotiating contracts, terms, and prices with clients to finalize deals and process sales agreements
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
  • Achieving Sales Goals: Meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets (quotas) to contribute to the company’s overall revenue and commercial growth
  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to position products effectively
  • Collaboration: Working with internal sales teams, to coordinate sales efforts and programs
  • Reporting: Preparing sales reports, tracking sales activity, and maintaining client records in customer relationship management systems

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales
  • Knowledge in cement compliance, to the quality standards managed by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) will be an advantage
  • Understanding supply chain principles
  • Knowledge of civil engineering where the focus is analyzing a building plan, and ensuring the stability, strength, and rigidity of buildings will be an advantage
