About the Role
As a Sales Representative at our esteemed company, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies and building strong relationships with clients. You will need to possess a deep understanding of our products and services, as well as the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identifying and contacting new prospects through methods like cold calling, referrals, and networking to generate sales leads
- Product/Service Knowledge: Gaining thorough knowledge of the company’s offerings to effectively educate customers on features, benefits, and how they solve problems
- Customer Interaction: Engaging with customers to understand their needs and preferences, providing information, and answering questions about products and services
- Demonstrations & Presentations: Delivering product demonstrations and sales presentations to potential clients to showcase value and suitability
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiating contracts, terms, and prices with clients to finalize deals and process sales agreements
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Achieving Sales Goals: Meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets (quotas) to contribute to the company’s overall revenue and commercial growth
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Monitoring market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to position products effectively
- Collaboration: Working with internal sales teams, to coordinate sales efforts and programs
- Reporting: Preparing sales reports, tracking sales activity, and maintaining client records in customer relationship management systems
Requirements
- Previous experience in sales
- Knowledge in cement compliance, to the quality standards managed by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) will be an advantage
- Understanding supply chain principles
- Knowledge of civil engineering where the focus is analyzing a building plan, and ensuring the stability, strength, and rigidity of buildings will be an advantage
