About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Production Planner to join our team at our offices in Jacobs, Durban. As a vital link between our Sales team and Production Coordinators, you will ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in coordinating production to meet audit and delivery milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate production to meet audit and delivery milestones
- Plan and schedule PPOs (Production Planning Orders) for the correct lead times
- Ensure all divisions and customers are catered to equally
- Manage production lines, including capacity planning and line balancing
- Analyze data and forecast realistic audit and delivery schedules
- Provide feedback on production issues and challenges to relevant departments
Requirements
- 13 years of experience in a garment/textile production planning role
- Strong understanding of production cycles, capacity planning, and line balancing
- High proficiency in planning systems and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SYNC is advantageous
- Excellent coordination, multitasking, and time management skills
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Textile Science, Business Administration)
