Job Description
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience
- Experience in stock, inventory, warehousing or logistics management is essential
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Dynamics, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or SAP) is essential
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Strong Management and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Advanced Excel or Dynamics proficiency is essential
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and assisting with filings.
- Managing and overseeing inventory teams and systems.
- Working within the operational part of the business.
- Reconciliating inventory and stock on a national basis.
- Assisting the demand and stock planning teams.
- Liaising with auditors and supporting audit processes.
- Recommending and implementing accounting controls and process improvements.
