About the Role

Spa Sense, a leading beauty industry spa chain, is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive HR support, manage multiple spas across South Africa and internationally, and lead employee relations efforts. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who can drive positive change within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage 11 Beauty Spas across South Africa and 1 International (Africa) office
  • Report directly to the Business Owner and act as Lead Administrative Staff Employee Relations Consultant to domestic regional offices
  • Conduct employee relations efforts for JHB, CT & Africa office administrative staff
  • Lead performance management process to achieve challenging targets and realise company vision
  • Recruit for exempt and non-exempt positions
  • Assist with recruitment, including entering employment applications in the System and entering background check data
  • Prepare and coordinate new hire packets, including entering in HR database
  • Prepare and coordinate termination paperwork, including entering termination in HRDB
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and assist with new hire paperwork meetings
  • Ensure accurate and updated job posting information on the net

Requirements

  • Experience: 5-8 years of progressive HR experience, with several years in a managerial or leadership role
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration, HR Certificate, or a related field is required; a Master’s Degree is a BONUS
  • Skills: Strong understanding of employment law, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in HR technology and data analytics
