About the Role As a Controller of Vehicle Stock at Ford Germiston, you will oversee inventory management and stock control for our vehicle offerings. This role is crucial in ensuring that stock levels meet demand while maintaining operational efficiency and accuracy. You will play a key role in supporting our sales and finance teams through precise data management and reporting. Key Responsibilities – Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability of vehicles while minimizing excess stock. – Conduct regular audits of vehicle stock to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of inventory. – Collaborate with the sales team to forecast demand and adjust inventory accordingly. – Develop and maintain inventory management strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs. – Prepare comprehensive reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and discrepancies for management review. – Train and guide team members on procedures and best practices related to inventory management. – Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company policies and industry regulations. – Work closely with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of vehicles. Requirements – Proven track record in inventory management or stock control, preferably within the automotive industry. – Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret stock data and trends effectively. – Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks. – Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. – Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including sales and finance teams. – Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications – Experience working with ERP systems and data management tools. – Relevant certification in inventory management or qualification in supply chain management. – Previous experience in a dealership or manufacturing environment is advantageous. – Familiarity with the Ford brand and product offerings will be beneficial.
