About the Role

Ergasia Placements is seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Gauteng. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting support to drive business growth and improve profitability. With a strong background in cost accounting and excellent analytical skills, you will play a crucial role in identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing budget plans.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and analyze financial data to determine standard costs and investigations.
Assist in preparing optimized budget plans and monitor expenditures.
Prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual costs and present findings.
Monitor inventory accuracy and manage the costs expenditure.
Work closely with the Finance department and Directors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (CIMA/CGMA).
Minimum of 3 years in Cost Accounting, prior experience in cost accounting or a similar role as required.
Proficiency in Accounting software and ERP systems (e.g XERO, UNLEASED and SYFT, MAYDAY).
Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
