About the Role

Network Contracting, a well-established player in the manufacturing and building materials sector, is seeking an experienced Credit Control Manager to take ownership of the full credit function across multiple branches. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Credit Control team across all branches while driving performance against key collection and debtor management targets.
  • Assess and approve customer credit applications, conduct credit risk evaluations, and establish appropriate credit limits and terms.
  • Oversee the full debtor management process, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, allocation of receipts, processing of credit notes, and resolution of customer queries.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring compliance with company credit policies.
  • Monitor and report on debtors’ balances, collections performance, aged debt, and credit-related risks through accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
  • Maintain effective credit control processes, internal controls, and compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize collections, reduce bad debt exposure, and enhance customer account management.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Credit Management, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within a credit control, debtors, or finance environment.
  • Previous management or team leadership experience will be highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, collections management, and debtor control processes.
  • Experience within manufacturing, building materials, wholesale, distribution, or a related industry would be beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of Syspro will be advantageous.
