Job Description

A leading South African red meat producer is looking for an experienced Artisan (Electrician) with strong experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, team supervision, and FMCG food processing environments to join their team in Cullinan, Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned and unplanned maintenance, supervising maintenance staff, and ensuring optimal equipment performance across production facilities in a high-volume processing environment. Responsibilities: Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance work Ensure job cards are issued, completed, and accurately recorded Manage and prioritise maintenance worklists effectively Ensure maintenance check sheets are completed and returned Ensure effective response time to breakdowns Accurately report downtime details Maintain high-quality workmanship standards Maintain clean and organised maintenance areas Take ownership of designated facilities Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures Be available for standby duties Monitor and maintain area temperatures within specification Supervise and lead maintenance staff Ensure positive team morale and productivity Follow up on completed work Monitor timekeeping and staff performance Ensure correct use of PPE Maintain process and product hygiene standards Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) Trade Test qualification (Electrical) 510 years general maintenance and supervisory experience in an FMCG / food production environment Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience Knowledge of piping, plumbing, and refrigeration systems Understanding of procurement processes Knowledge of OSH Act and food safety standards Strong team leadership and supervisory skills Must be able to reliably commute to Cullinan or be willing to relocate at own cost Must provide most recent payslip with CV Must include salary expectations Benefits: Salary: negotiable.
