About the Role
A luxury lodge located in the exclusive Sabi Sands region is seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Operational Stock Controller to support daily operations through effective inventory management. This role is critical in ensuring that all departments have the correct stock levels required to deliver seamless guest experiences, while maintaining accuracy, cost control, and compliance with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain supply and demand of inventory across all departments
- Control stock count processes and inventory procedures
- Capture and update inventory data accurately in the system
- Conduct spot checks, weekly counts, and variance investigations
- Manage stock rotation and monitor stock levels
- Raise and manage purchasing orders based on par levels
- Verify deliveries, receipts, and purchase order accuracy
- Prevent overstocking and unnecessary ordering
- Compile inventory and stock balance reports
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in stock control or a similar role
- High school qualification; relevant tertiary education advantageous
- Strong computer literacy, including advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Physically fit with flexibility to meet operational demands
