- Minimum of 5 years’ trackless mining operator experience.
- This role will require a person who speaks fluent English.
- Strong communication, presentation, and administrative skills.
- Can convey training to a variety of people on various skill levels.
- This role will require the Operator Trainer to travel and visit sites for the required training.
- Medically fit to work underground.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work under pressure.
- Minimum of 5-year trackless mining operator experience.

- Have excellent time management skills.
- Have attention to detail.
- Be able to keep to strict deadlines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Delivery:
- Ensure operators are competent and certified before machine operation.
- Deliver training suitable for varying skill levels.
Training Material:
- Develop and maintain up-to-date operator training documentation.
- Operator Trainer will be responsible for creating training material for new machines and engage with technical team and production to ensure training material aligns to machine layout, software, and function.
- Review and revise material following machine or specification changes.
- The Operator Trainer will also be responsible for keeping the training material to the latest machine specification, meaning constant engagement with the relevant technical and production teams. Unless customer requests training on their old machines on site the latest training material must be used.
- The Operator Trainer will need to establish training opportunities at customers for recertification of operators and technical training requirements as well as prepare training proposals.
- The Operator Trainer will be required to assist with providing technical training as and where needed to ensure the teams keep to their schedule.
Assessment & Certification:
- The Operator Trainer will be responsible for assessing the operators on the customer’s site. This assessment will provide the customer with feedback if more or complete retraining is needed.
- The operator assessment will also be part of the practical test that operators go through before they are certified.
- From time to time the operator will need to do an assessment on in-house employees to ensure operation of machines is correct.
- Conduct practical and theoretical assessments.
- Issue competency licenses and attendance certificates.
- Maintain training registers and records.
- Operator Trainer will issue competency licenses, attendance certificates and record all training records on training register,
- follow up on quotes and orders.
- AD HOC Training Academy requirements.
Customer Care:
- Always maintain professional conduct and presentation.
- Communicate training outcomes and recommendations clearly to customers.
