About the Role
GAP Consulting is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team. As a key member of the accounting practice, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless payroll operations and maintaining compliance with South African tax legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for employees in accordance with company policies and relevant tax laws
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee information, including personal details and tax deductions
- Ensure timely submission of payroll returns to SARS and other relevant authorities
- Provide support with payroll-related queries and disputes
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and meet deadlines
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper | Payroll Administrator in an Accounting Practice | Professional Services Industry
- Relevant Tertiary Education in Accounting | Finance required
- Proficient in CaseWare | Pastel Payroll | Sage Online | Xero Accounting essential
- Strong knowledge of South African Tax Legislation | SARS eFiling | VAT | PAYE | Provisional Tax | SARS Disputes | Payroll Compliance | EMP201 | EMP501 | UIF | COIDA
Qualifications
