About the Role
Our client, a leading SaaS company in Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning / AI Engineer to join their high-impact team. As a key member of the NLP and large language model development group, you will work on building features that deliver actionable, data-driven insights. This unique opportunity allows for remote work on cutting-edge technologies, contributing meaningfully to a fast-growing SaaS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build business-ready, scalable ML/AI solutions
- Develop and implement NLP models for classification, anomaly detection, sentence similarity, and generation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML/AI into the platform
- Participate in MLOps practices (model versioning, experiment tracking, cloud deployments) using AWS
Requirements
- 6 years of experience in machine learning, generative AI, and NLP
- Hands-on experience with transformer-based architectures, HuggingFace ecosystem, and ML frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Strong knowledge of advanced machine learning systems and large language models
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
