About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Stock Controller to oversee inventory management and stock levels within our automotive industry operations. This role emphasizes accurate tracking, reporting, and replenishment of stock to ensure maximum efficiency and support our overall business goals. Key Responsibilities – Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize excess inventory. – Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations to maintain accuracy in inventory records. – Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast stock needs and align with production schedules. – Analyze inventory trends and prepare reports to assist in decision-making processes. – Implement and maintain inventory management systems and best practices to enhance operational efficiency. – Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records, working closely with relevant departments. – Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in storage and handling of automotive parts. – Assist with training and onboarding new staff in inventory procedures and systems. Requirements – Proven experience in stock control or inventory management, preferably within the automotive sector. – Strong understanding of inventory management software and Microsoft Excel. – Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. – Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data for making informed inventory decisions. – Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across departments. – Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to warehouse or supplier sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications – Familiarity with ERP systems used in inventory management. – Relevant certification in inventory management or supply chain management. – Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies. – Knowledge of automotive parts and components is an advantage.
