Director of Food & Beverage Luxury Hotel | George | Negotiable DOE | Live Out
A prestigious luxury hotel in George is seeking an experienced Director of Food & Beverage to lead and elevate their culinary and service offerings. This role will be instrumental in shaping and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences that leave guests with unforgettable memories.
The successful candidate will be highly experienced in managing a complex 5-star hotel and resort environment, capable of building leadership, knowledge, and craftsmanship within the food and beverage division. Creativity, passion for the industry, and a commitment to delivering luxury and quality across multiple outlets are essential.
Key Responsibilities:

Ensure the food and beverage offering meets world-class standards across all outlets and touchpoints.

Continuously refresh and align menus and special touches to the concept of each outlet.

Build and maintain professional, warm, and sincere relationships with members and guests; address feedback promptly and empathetically.

Prioritise the development of talent, ensuring alignment to key competencies within the hospitality offering.

Implement and adhere to sound financial, operational, and people management practices.

Oversee budgeting, stock and operational expenditure controls, CAPEX projects, forecasting, and audits.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Build and maintain a high-performing food and beverage team and brand that exceeds expectations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 6 years hospitality experience, including at least 3 years in a senior food and beverage leadership role within the luxury sector.

Proven success across all areas of culinary service, including banqueting.

Strong knowledge of menu engineering, wine list management, financial management, stock and OE controls, and OHSAct compliance.

Proficiency with relevant technology, software, and hardware for kitchen management, accounting, point-of-sale systems, and advanced MS Office. Knowledge of systems such as Cimso, Opera, SAP, Blazon, or Micros is advantageous.

Relevant international experience will be considered an asset.
