About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Food & Beverage to lead and elevate our culinary and service offerings in a prestigious luxury hotel in George. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences that leave guests with unforgettable memories.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the food and beverage offering meets world-class standards across all outlets and touchpoints.
- Continuously refresh and align menus and special touches to the concept of each outlet.
- Build and maintain professional, warm, and sincere relationships with members and guests; address feedback promptly and empathetically.
- Prioritise the development of talent, ensuring alignment to key competencies within the hospitality offering.
- Implement and adhere to sound financial, operational, and people management practices.
- Oversee budgeting, stock and operational expenditure controls, CAPEX projects, forecasting, and audits.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years hospitality experience, including at least 3 years in a senior food and beverage leadership role within the luxury sector.
- Strong knowledge of menu engineering, wine list management, financial management, stock and OE controls, and OHSAct compliance.
- Proficiency with relevant technology, software, and hardware for kitchen management, accounting, point-of-sale systems, and advanced MS Office.
- Knowledge of systems such as Cimso, Opera, SAP, Blazon, or Micros is advantageous.
- Relevant international experience will be considered an asset.
