Job Description
Parts Sales
- Assist customers and workshop technicians with parts enquiries
- Identify and supply the correct automotive parts using parts catalogues and systems
- Process counter sales and generate invoices
- Provide quotations for parts and accessories
- Promote and upsell parts and related products where appropriate
Customer Service
- Deliver professional and efficient service to retail and trade customers
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, mechanics, and workshop staff
- Handle customer queries and resolve parts-related issues
Stock Control
- Monitor parts availability and assist with stock ordering
- Receive, check, and bin incoming parts
- Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records
- Assist with regular stock counts and inventory audits
Administration
- Capture sales transactions accurately on the dealership management system
- Maintain organised records of sales, orders, and returns
- Process returns, warranties, and credits where applicable
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in automotive parts sales or a dealership parts department
- Experience working with automotive parts catalogues and systems
- Automotive parts identification and product knowledge
- Dealership management systems (DMS)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic stock control and inventory management
