About the Role
A manufacturer within the power distribution and electrical switchboard industry, is currently seeking a Commercial Estimator to join their operations in Wadeville, Germiston. We are looking for a skilled professional with experience in estimating electrical switchboards and power distribution boards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for electrical switchboards and power distribution boards
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation to determine costings
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information
- Evaluate commercial aspects of tenders, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation
- Work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to align estimates with operational capabilities
- Review and refine costing models to improve accuracy and competitiveness
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in estimating within electric switchboard or power distribution board manufacturing
- Proven commercial estimating experience (not purely quote processing)
- Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle (mandatory)
