About the Role
Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team at their Head Office in Germiston. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the technical execution of engineering projects, ensuring that scope, schedule, quality, and budget objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain technical integrity, scope definition, and quality standards across design, procurement, and construction.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams, providing technical guidance and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and company standards.
- Manage supplier and contractor interfaces and foster long-term service provider relationships.
- Monitor progress and proactively address issues to support project delivery.
- Manage technical information flow between stakeholders and ensure accurate documentation.
- Oversee change control processes and scope alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support cost control and ensure deliverables are completed for client handover.
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration to maintain project integrity and schedule.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 years experience in project engineering for process plants (studies, basic and detailed engineering)
- 3 years engineering design experience in process plant construction
Qualifications
- BSc Eng / BTech in Mechanical Engineering (desirable)
