Job Summary
Hire Resolves client is seeking a qualified and experienced Plant Chargehand to oversee operations at their mining facility in the Northern Cape region. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of plant operators and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of processing equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of plant operators and technicians in the operation of processing equipment
- Monitor and analyse plant performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees
- Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and schedule repairs as needed
- Communicate effectively with plant management and other team members to coordinate daily operations and address any issues that may arise
- Train and mentor new employees on proper plant operation procedures and safety protocols
Requirements:
- Certificate: Grade 12 (Required)
- Certificate: Trade Test Artisan Boilermaker / Fitter (Required)
- Certificate N3: Engineering studies (Required)
- Valid Drivers License Code B / EB (Required)
- Dover B Symbol (Required)
- 4 Years Post apprenticeship experience in a heavy industrial, mining or plant environment
- 1 Year Supervisory experience.
- Valid Drivers License Code B / EB (Required).
- Dover B symbol (Required).
