<p>Our client has an opportunity available for a Category Manager based in Centurion.</p><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Undergraduate diploma or degree in supply chain or commerce.</li><li>Professional registration at the Institute of Purchasing and Supply SA or CIPS is preferred.</li><li>Matric</li><li>Code 8 drivers license.</li><li>5+ years experience in Procurement and Supply Chain.</li><li>General knowledge in finance, law and auditing.</li><li>General understanding of Health and Safety.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Manage all procurement related activities of third parties spend, including strategic sourcing initiatives.</li><li>Identify, implement and maintain commodity and service contracts to support the business.</li><li>Develop and maintain expert knowledge of all the respective supply markets, competitors and service innovations.</li><li>Facilitate the implementation of procurement change initiatives to improve business performance.</li><li>Manage all aspects of the vendor rationalization strategy to support the business nationally, including vendor selection, compliance and performance.</li><li>Build relationships with customers to enhance customer experience.</li><li>Manage all contracts within the various categories.</li><li>Perform procurement analyses and reporting to assist management to track, monitor and achieve departmental targets.</li></ul>
