Qualified and experienced Auto Electrician with expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Skilled in fault-finding, wiring installations, battery and charging systems, starter motors, alternators, lighting systems, and electronic control units (ECUs). Strong ability to interpret wiring diagrams, use diagnostic equipment, and ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently. Committed to delivering high-quality workmanship, minimizing vehicle downtime, and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on vehicles and equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair wiring, lighting, ignition, and charging systems.
  • Test and replace alternators, starter motors, batteries, sensors, and related components.
  • Use computerized diagnostic tools to identify faults and perform system checks.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and workshop procedures.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.

 Requirements

  • Qualified Auto Electrician trade certificate or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working on light vehicles, heavy vehicles, or earthmoving equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

 Preferred Skills

  • Experience with bus systems and electronic diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of GPS tracking, fleet management, and telematics systems.
  • Experience working with commercial vehicles, trucks, or construction equipment.
