<p>QUALIFICATIONS<br /><br />A minimum of Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Sales, Supply Chain, or a similar field.<br /><br />Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br />Sales Forecasting &amp; Demand Planning:<br /><br />Provide accurate, timely, and optimal sales forecasts in conjunction with the sales team.<br /><br />Conduct planning to ensure alignment between sales and production.<br />Final Product Stock Management:<br /><br />Engage with clients to manage shortfalls in categories/SKUs and recover lost sales.<br /><br />Manage stock optimizations, addressing issues like near-dated stock in collaboration with the sales teams.<br /><br />Ensure accurate inventory estimations for stock levels, minimum order quantities, and promotions.<br />Forecasting &amp; Reporting:<br /><br />Conduct monthly pre-validation meetings with managers to validate forecasts for categories and SKUs.<br /><br />Capture relevant data in systems to ensure availability of real-time information.<br /><br />Present historical vs. actual analysis in line with the annual budget and promotional plans.<br /><br />Facilitate weekly meetings between sales and production.<br />Data Analysis &amp; Reporting:<br /><br />Analyze production trends, sales, and stock performance, providing actionable insights to improve performance.<br />Collaboration &amp; Communication:<br /><br />Communicate effectively with production team, sales team and customer service team.<br /><br />Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve demand issues and align on key priorities.</p><p><br />EXPERIENCE:<br /><br />A minimum of 3-5 years in demand planning, preferably within the FMCG, retail, or manufacturing sector.<br /><br />Proven experience in stock optimizations, and forecasting processes.<br /><br />Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with QlikView for data analysis and reporting. SKILLS REQUIRED<br /><br />Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.<br /><br />Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle conflict.<br /><br />Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.<br /><br />Proven ability to collaborate with various departments and manage external relationships.</p>

Duties: Own and lead the S&OP process, driving alignment between sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance. Analyse historical sales data, market trends, and customer forecasts to develop accurate demand projections to create the 12-month rolling forecast. Align with Demand planning stakeholders from sales team and consolidate all forecasts into a single business plan. Apply statistical models and forecasting tools to predict future demand patterns and support business planning. Consolidate and maintain demand plans across product categories, ensuring alignment with company strategy. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to integrate market intelligence, promotions, and product launches into forecasts. Regularly review and adjust forecasts through S&OP cycles to reflect changing market conditions. Partner with supply chain, procurement, logistics, and operations to align demand, production, and distribution plans. Monitor inventory health, ensuring optimal stock levels, minimizing excess, and achieving age stock targets ( Identify risks to demand and supply plans, troubleshooting issues (including shipping delays) and implementing corrective actions. Generate and present S&OP reports on forecast accuracy, demand trends, inventory performance, and scenario planning. Provide insights and recommendations to improve forecasting accuracy, supply chain resilience, and overall business performance. Manage the demand forecast in line with company sales and inventory budget. Key competencies Bachelors degree in supply chain management or relevant degree. Minimal 6 years of experience in full Demand planning. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in forecasting tools, and effective communication with cross-functional teams are essential for success in this position. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers, Customers, internal teams, and management. Experience in optimizing inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess. Knowledge of statistical modelling and forecasting techniques. Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and proactively adjust plans. – Ability to work under pressure. – Advanced excel skills.
