<p><strong>Financial Controller required for a renowned construction / property company based in East London </strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>Oversee and review of general ledger transactions, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable.</p><p>Prepare budgeting and detailed financial objectives, and report variances.</p><p>Track the progress of accounting and financial objectives.</p><p>Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to senior management.</p><p>Contribute financial information to strategic plans.</p><p>Establish and identify improvements in accounting procedures and policies.</p><p>Monitor day-to-day performance of company's accounting department.</p><p>Organise financial data into valuable information and maintain updated records.</p><p>Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support for decision-making.</p><p>Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company's financial practices are in line with current standards.</p><p>Ensure compliance with company's regulations relevant statutes.</p><p>Any other reasonable instructions within the scope of work.</p><p><strong>REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p>Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.</p><p>Relevant professional certificate is preferred.</p><p><strong>A minimum of 8 years proven experience in finance, including 35 years in the property industry advantageous, </strong></p><p><strong>Experience fulfilling a similar role within the construction industry ESSENTIAL </strong></p><p><strong>SKILLS:</strong></p><p>Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, experience with creating financial statements.</p><p>Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.</p><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</p><p>High level of accuracy and attention to detail.</p><p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</p><p>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p><p>Effective leadership and people management skills.</p><p>Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.</p>
