<p><strong>Financial Controller (Plant)</strong> required for a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in <strong>Durban. </strong></p><p><strong>Requirements : </strong></p><ul><li>National Diploma or Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting or related qualification</li><li>Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), CA(SA) or CIMA advantage</li><li>Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.</li></ul><p><strong>Duties : </strong></p><ul><li>Provide financial analysis and support to management and all operational areas of the business</li><li>Monitor and support debtors and creditors</li><li>Maintenance of the fixed asset register</li><li>Control intercompany balancing</li><li>Review weekly payroll</li><li>Review and action financial variances (Budget / Forecast)</li><li>Review and action Balance Sheet Account variances</li><li>Ensure compliance with IFRS</li><li>Maintain the plant CAPEX &amp; Tooling Reports</li><li>Generate information and reports for internal and external use</li><li>Comply with Internal Controls</li><li>Maintain and Review the Risk Register</li><li>Participate in the budget/forecast process</li><li>Prepare budgets and forecasts for plants</li><li>Prepare plant P/L and balance sheet forecasts</li><li>Prepare financial reports and returns (Monthly BU/Plant Financial Pack)</li><li>Compile the BU/ Plant Flash Results and analyse variances</li><li>Compile and review Weekly Sales Reports</li><li>Prepare Provisions and Accruals</li><li>Compile Royalties schedule for month end processing</li><li>Prepare general ledger journals</li><li>Compile general ledger reconciliations</li><li>Prepare &amp; maintain a CAPEX and Tooling register tracking actual spend against approved spend, planning future profitability &amp; cash flows of the projects.</li><li>Prepare CAPEX requisitions with all relevant information regarding the CAPEX project.</li><li>Support useful life and residual value of Fixed Assets analysis</li><li>Maintain the BU/Plant Tooling Reports</li><li>Prepare and plan Year-end Statutory Audit (external and internal) in line with the consolidated Audit plan</li><li>Prepare and arrange royalty audits</li><li>Calculate landed cost on all import shipments</li><li>Prepare / Review DA 190 (Declaration of Imported Components and Raw Materials)</li><li>Investigate Purchase Price Variances (PPV)</li><li>Generate variance report of Actuals to budgeted information</li><li>Compile daily stock holding report</li><li>Oversee Stock Takes</li><li>Assist with investigating stock count variances</li><li>Overall responsibility for stock</li><li>Oversee cash management function of the plant</li><li>Monitor daily cash positions and cash flows to ensure settlement and maximise performance</li><li>Manage cash flow and working capital for the plant</li><li>Review Forex Forecasts</li><li>Plant FEC contracts based on AP requirements</li><li>Identify improvement opportunities and make recommendations for improvements</li><li>Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives</li><li>Prepare financial reports and returns</li><li>Generate information and reports for internal and external use</li><li>Ensure an enabling climate/culture.</li><li>Ensure a safe, secure and legal working environment.</li><li>Manage individual, team and departmental performance to achieve organisational objectives.</li><li>Determine the training needs of the Department.</li><li>Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels</li><li>Ensure discipline is maintained in department (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.)</li><li>Resolve grievances and disputes</li><li>Identify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplace</li><li>Address workplace hazards and risks</li><li>Work safely and use safety equipment</li></ul><p>Should you wish to apply, please email your CV through to Kirsten Smith at <strong>*****@*****.co.za</strong></p><p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
