<p><strong>Who are we:</strong> A fast-growing global organisation with a presence in 50 countries, committed to delivering excellence through innovation, performance and customer focused. </p><p><strong>Who we are looking for:</strong> An experienced and dynamic HR Manager to oversee and manage all HR functions for over 800 employees. The HR Manager plays a central role in the growth and development plan of the schools in SA. You will work closely with the HR Director, Management Teams to deliver an efficient and effective service. You will be responsible for a full range of HR activities, combining hands-on generalist operational delivery and business partnering.</p><p><strong>Key responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Provides management-level leadership and guidance to the Heads, in addition to performing all of the day-to-day HR functions.</li><li>Responsible for partnering with the Heads to ensure that talent acquisition, diversity initiatives, internal staffing, on-boarding, off-boarding, conditions of employment, industrial relations, retention of staff, benefits, performance appraisals and setting, enforcing and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies and procedures and best practices are carried out with professionalism to achieve optimal functioning from the staff .</li></ul><p><strong>What will you do:</strong></p><ul><li>Strategic HR Management</li><li>Operational HR Management</li><li>Compliance and Policy Development</li></ul><p><strong>What will you need:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Excellent skills in computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite)</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.</li><li>Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritise work duties.</li><li>Excellent talent recognition skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong supervisory and leadership skills.</li><li>Strong knowledge of local labour laws and HR compliance.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage both strategic and operational aspects of HR.</li><li>Working knowledge of Success Factors (or other HRIS system) is preferred</li></ul><p> </p>

An established and fast-growing organisation within a dynamic, operationally driven industry is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to take full ownership of the HR function across a group of companies. This is a senior, standalone role where you will partner closely with executive leadership to build a strong, people-centric culture, enhance communication, and ensure a high-performing, compliant HR environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping employee experience, driving engagement, and supporting business growth through effective people practices. This role is based in Illovo, Johannesburg North. Key Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from role scoping to offer stage Develop engaging job adverts and manage candidate pipelines Lead interviews and coordinate selection processes Design and implement effective onboarding programmes Performance Management & Development: Implement structured performance management frameworks Facilitate performance reviews and ongoing feedback processes Identify training needs and drive development initiatives Oversee WSP and ATR submissions to the relevant SETAs Support succession planning and career development Employee Relations: Act as the primary [contact details removed] employee relations matters Manage disciplinary processes and ensure legal compliance Handle grievances and conflict resolution professionally and fairly Maintain accurate and compliant ER documentation Payroll Management: Oversee and process monthly payroll Ensure the accuracy of employee data, including changes and deductions Liaise with finance and ensure statutory compliance (PAYE, UIF, and SDL) Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll information HR Compliance & Culture: Develop and maintain HR policies aligned with South African legislation Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA and related frameworks Drive Employment Equity and B-BBEE initiatives Act as a culture champion, improving engagement and communication Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook HR Administration & Reporting: Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files Produce HR reports and dashboards for leadership Manage leave, contracts, and exit processes Analyse turnover trends and provide insights Job Experience and Skills Required: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field Honours Degree (advantageous) Additional certifications in Labour Law, Payroll, or B-BBEE (beneficial) Minimum 10 years HR experience in a corporate environment Proven experience managing a standalone HR function Strong payroll experience (VIP/Sage advantageous) Experience with SETA submissions (WSP/ATR) Solid knowledge of South African labour legislation Experience in a fast-paced, operational environment is advantageous Apply now!
