The successful candidates will oversee daily maintenance across guest accommodation, staff housing, workshops, and operational infrastructure. This position requires strong practical knowledge across multiple maintenance disciplines including HVAC systems, electrical work, plumbing, water systems, fabrication, and general building maintenance. Candidate Responsibilities: Supervise and carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across lodge facilities and infrastructure Maintain and repair HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning units Conduct electrical maintenance including fault finding, repairs, and installations Perform plumbing maintenance including pipework, pumps, and water reticulation systems Maintain reverse osmosis and water purification systems Service and maintain borehole systems, water pumps, and water distribution infrastructure Carry out welding, steel fabrication, and minor structural repairs where required Perform masonry, building repairs, and basic groundworks Conduct general handyman duties including carpentry, repairs, and facility upkeep Inspect buildings, equipment, and infrastructure to identify maintenance requirements Ensure maintenance tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and accounted for Assist with maintenance planning and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with operational standards Core Criteria Proven experience in lodge maintenance, facility maintenance, or similar operational environments Strong practical knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical work, and plumbing maintenance Experience working with water systems including pumps and purification equipment Ability to perform basic welding, steel fabrication, and structural repairs Solid experience with general maintenance and handyman work Valid drivers license Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks in a remote environment Strong problem-solving ability and practical technical mindset This is a live-in position.

Performs daily maintenance of the resorts electrical systems, equipment, plumbing, and painting. • Ensure all service areas comply with safety requirements and Simbithi quality standards. • Prioritises daily and weekly tasks according to operational needs. • Maintains the asset register and plans for the disposal and repair of assets. • Manages assets in line with service level guarantees and ensures the delivery of maintenance service contracts. Addresses any issues of non-delivery promptly. • Prepares monthly payments to service providers and submit them to finance for payment after quality inspections. Follows the Simbithi purchasing and accounting standard operating procedures. • Plans and executes preventative maintenance and refurbishments within budget. • Conducts risk analysis and report findings to management. • Consults with shared services on maintenance matters beyond their expertise. • Implements contingency plans as approved by management. • Be on standby to attend to emergencies as required. • Troubleshoot faulty equipment (Refrigeration, HVAC, electrical components and equipment). • Source and procure parts, tools, hardware and paint as required. Relevant qualifications in maintenance, engineering, or a related field. • Proven experience of five years in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably within a country club or similar environment. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance. • Excellent organisational and time-management skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Experience with asset management and maintenance planning. • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.
