Pastry Chef Mpumalanga (Live-in Position)-R8000 Lodge is seeking a qualified Pastry Chef to manage the daily pastry production for three luxury safari camps. This role requires an early start at 04h00, preparing fresh baked goods and desserts, while also assisting with general kitchen duties across sections when required. Responsibilities will for the following reporting to the Executive Chef. Assist the Executive and Head Chef with daily kitchen operations Prepare pastries, breads, and desserts for all three camps Ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery each morning Assist chefs with food preparation across kitchen sections Maintain hygiene and food safety standards Support stock control and reduce waste Implementing new ideas and menu creation Check that requisitions and issue sheets are done correctly. Competent in English writing and speaking Requirements: 23 years experience Organisational skills Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays Previous lodge or hospitality experience advantageous in a Safari environment Proven experience in a similar role Ability to work independently and under pressure Strong time management and organisation skills Willingness to start at 04h00 and work flexible hours Shared living accommodation. Drivers licence essential. Salary R8000 per month. Paid Sundays and public holidays Provident fund contribution of 5% 7 days off per month and 21 consecutive annual days.
